Director
Jorge Prince is Director of the Northwest Regional Small Business Development Center (SBDC) which is one of nine Minnesota SBDC networks. Jorge received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bemidji State University in 1994. Prior to joining the SBDC, Jorge spent 13 years with MinnTex Investment Incorporated, a Minnesota investment group specializing in the creation, development, and acquisition of diverse business units. During that time, he held numerous roles spending his final seven years as Director of Operations where he managed a team of 150 people operating 13 profit centers spread throughout northern Minnesota. He has also had extensive hands-on experience in business planning, financial analysis, market analysis, marketing, management, and business operations.
Program Coordinator
Lauralee Tupa serves as the Program Coordinator for the NWSBDC. Lauralee recieved a Bacelor of Science in Management from the University of Minnesota, Crookston in 2004. In December of 2009 she will have her Masters of Management from the College of St. Scholastica. Prior to joining the NWSBDC she worked as manager of a business, and held the titles of personal banker & business expert for a bank. Lauralee enjoys assisting businesses and teaching introduction to business and website design classes.
Student Assistant
Jordan Schmidt serves as a student assistant for the NWSBDC. Jordan is majoring in business at Bemidji State University.
